THE RABBLE – Carry On  One-track promo video featuring one of the highlights from the excellent debut album by New Zealand’s THE RABBLE.  It’s a good-looking video too, with the band playing live in a number of settings, all of which are expertly spliced together to form a convincing and cohesive performance.  The photography is sharp and clear with good use of slow motion on some of the more dramatic parts.  The song itself is a powerful, anthemic battle cry to continue forward in the face of adversity, sung through gritted teeth and a razorblade smile.  I’ve heard a lot of Kiwis put the band down as nothing more than tenth-rate RANCID clones, which is grossly unfair and unjust.  What the RABBLE is is a powerful, focused Punk band that knows what it wants to do and how it wants to do it – and it works for me 100%.  More power to them!
